ATARI 2600
There may have actually been a "game system" with a release date earlier than this one, but for all intents and purposes this was the beginning of the home consoles in North America. And it's still a decent little system for emulation these days. Graphics are crude. The controls are as simple as they get... ok if you haven't lived through these years, there's really not a lot here for you other than a brief look at the history of video games.

Drop all your rom zips in:

R:\ARCADE\RetroArch-1.9.1-Win64\system\GAMES\Atari 2600\

Next, fire up RA, download the "stella" core and try a couple of games to make sure they work.

Then make the usual RL settings:

The XML from HyperList has 667 entries. I have done a quick edit removing all the "eur" only,"unl", "demo", and "proto". The result is list with 430 entries.
